Behind every great adventure is a great woman… well, actually two. We’re Kyla and Jane — the wives behind Franky Roams. Since breaking free of suburban life, we’ve been roaming full-time and helping folks roam further and bolder.
Our story
Since 2023, we’ve been roaming Australia by 4WD and foot — clocking up over 50,000km in search of something bigger: a deeper connection to nature, more freedom, and a lifestyle that challenges society’s ideas of success.
What started as a 12-month lap turned into a lifestyle we couldn’t walk away from.
Our corporate, suburban lives are well and truly in the rearview mirror.
So who's Franky?
Franky's the name of our incredibly trusty, super sexy 2010 Toyota Hilux. Every 4x4 needs a name right?
But Franky's more than a name. It represents an attitude to life that's free-spirited, down for adventure, wild about nature, and completely authentic. Franky is just as much you, as us.
Through Franky Roams, we share our wild journey, the places we fall for, the challenges we're dished up - all in the hope of helping you bring your own wild dreams to life, whether for a week, a month, or a year.
More than adventure
Through Franky Roams, we share our journey to inspire others to live their wildest and most authentic life - regardless of gender, age, sexual identify or experience.
And as a same-sex couple, we’re also really passionate about increasing LGBTQIA+ visibility by showing up as our authentic selves, both on the road and online.
The world has come a long way (since we both 'came out'), but we love challenging assumptions and breaking stereotypes as we 4WD and tow our way around the country.
