Welcome to Franky Roams!
A place where dreams and reality meet, and bucket lists sit on the dash, not in the back of your mind.
Hey there
We’re Kyla and Jane - vanwives, adventurers, and founders of Franky Roams.
We’ve been exploring the far reaches of Australia by caravan, 4WD and foot since 2023, clocking up more than 40,000km and countless adventures.
We farewelled our corporate, suburban life in search of something greater – a deep connection to nature and the space to roam. A different way of being that sits outside of the ‘rules’ of society and what it means to be successful.
We love our life – and the natural spaces we call home – so much that we want to share what we see and what we’ve learnt to inspire others to live out their wildest dreams, whether it’s for a week, a month or a year. You’ve go this!
What's Franky Roams about?
Franky is the name of our loved 4WD, but it's so much more than that.
Franky Roams represents an attitude to life - a trail name, so to speak.
Franky is free-spirited, down for adventure, wild about nature, rooted in belonging, and completely authentic. Franky is just as much you, as us.
Through Franky Roams, we share our wild journey to inspire others to live their most adventurous life - regardless of their gender, age, sexual identify or experience. And as a same-sex couple, we’re also passionate about increasing LGBTQIA+ visibility by being authentically us.
